    Default sleep disorder

i figured sleeping disorders and video games go hand in hand so... why not? i've got one and its starting to bug me a little. i'll try to provide as much information as i can about the situation. if anyone out there that knows more than web md, plz halp .

    • in the last 24 hours i've slept 11 hours and 15 minutes (but that's common at 17, innit?)
      • between the time i woke up this morning at 2:30am to the day before when i woke up at 2:30am
    • eating a nutritious regular diet
    • exercising regularly
    • i sleep like a log. no tossing and turning
    • usually pass out between 8 or 10pm
      • wake up around 2 or 3am
    • fall asleep randomly throughout the day
      • (watching a movie or doing homework or something)
    • oooh... here's a good one. Fighting Moderate Depression. that's the only thing i can think of causing funny sleep patterns
yeah. if yall know anything put in your two bits. just little suggestions like a warm glass of milk before bed or something little that'll help.

    thanks in advance

Don't rule out any medical issues, talk to your Doctor about it.

    Couple of tips.

Don't smoke or have any pop, coffee, or energy drinks, 1 hour before you plan to go to bed.

Also it seems like you only sleep for roughly 4 hours, is there a sound waking you up? Possibly try ear plugs.

You can always pop this into the radio...guaranteed sleep.

Go get checked by a sleep specialist and do a sleep study. You might be surprised at what they can find out with that. It could be something as simple as needing a different pillow, to something more serious like apnea or RLS. Either way, the only way to find out is to have a sleep specialist watch you sleep .

Yes, the $14.99 a month that you pay entitles you to play how you wish

    ... However ...

The $359.76 that the rest of the raid pays demands that you do your fucking job.

i have to exercise only in the morning, otherwise the endorphins give me boost of energy.
I cannot drink coffee..I have switched to tea. After 12:00 pm-2:00pm, I have to cut myself off if I drink coffee. OR go cold turkey for a few days.
I have found listening to nature sounds, particularly rain, running water and/or thunderstorms, calm me down to sleep.
I cannot watch anything on History, Discovery channels or any intellectuals channels, keeps me up. (Cable canceled, now I just can't watch PBS lol)
I can watch couple movies that just put me to sleep, I will put those in. (guaranteed night time)
Reading a book helps sometimes to fall asleep.

I would get tested if I were you. Like Capt' said there are other conditions that can cause insomnia or trouble sleeping.

Sinus problems and/or breathing problems...equal no sleep or very un-restful sleep. (This is one of the great side effects from constant sinus issues. Sinuses suck arse.)
Stress can create or bring on out of conditions that can also result in sleeping problems. (I am testing the whole stress thing. Death by stress ;| )

These are some things that I have learned so far to help my insomnia. (I am not a "doctor" nor I been treated or diagnosed with insomnia. This is just been a few things I have tested or tried on suggestions from friends and different medical websites)

Try quiet time...computers, tv, electronics are suppose to "keep your brain" stimulated for hours after you stop playing...that's what some study says.
OR try chamomile or sleepy time teas..that will knock you out too. (Tea is or has a calming effect.)

And of course there are sleeping pills, if you can prevent this or having to takes pills just to sleep. DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO prevent having to go this. (Once you start taking them, you need them to sleep.)

sounds awesome. give me another 4 hours. I'm shooting for the sac by about 10' tonight. tips in mind, we'll see how it goes. i'll try to conquer my problem on my own before i see a specialist. i think dad'll be a little reluctant to take me to see anybody. i cost enough money now as it is.

Hypothetically if you still cant sleep with all the tips i have found that cannabis can be used to help with insomnia and with no freaky side effects like that man made stuff. just an opinion.

Disclamer: I in no way encourage any illegal activity to take place after consideration of my opinion. Kthx

Masturbate vigorously to the point where you work up a sweat. All guys sleep soundly afterwards.
